In the old days, you could sell your products and services in any market, but now we depend on social media and the internet. Normally we talk about “the good old days" but is that really true?

As an entrepreneur, it is important to develop your network. And in business, we all know that time is money. So how can we reach many people in little time? Social media offers the possibility to reach thousands or even tens of thousands of people with the simple upload of a photo or video. Sounds like magic, right? You can already feel it coming that you cannot reach thousands of people by simply uploading a photo or video. A strategy is critical to growing your business online.

Plan your goals

Before you start creating content for your social media, it is important that you create goals. Realistic goals that help you grow your business online. It is not realistic for entrepreneurs to have 10k followers on YouTube or other social media platform within 2 months.

 

If you find it difficult to set a goal for your social media strategy, here are realistic goals:

  • How are you going to reach your niche.
  • Post at least 3 times a week.
  • Get more traffic to your website through social media

Understand the needs of your audience

The second step is to get to know your audience, what do they want to learn and what do they like to see on social media. It is important to know what your niche likes to look for on social media so that you can convert viewers into customers.

 

A good way to get to know your niche on social media is to search for popular hashtags within your industry. So if you’re a graphic designer, you can check out #grahpicdesigner, so you can discover the trends and what your niche likes to see.

Bulk your content

You’ve done your research and set goals, now it’s time to create your content. Now, our advice is to create content right away for a few weeks. You can use Canva to create all content or do it directly within the app via the app as TikTok. By making a bulk creation, you have less stress, and you can focus on other tasks within your company.

Keep track of the analytics

It’s good to check every week which post has done well and which didn’t, this will make it easier for you to create content. It is also nice to see where your followers are today, suppose you make your content in English but 90% of your followers are French then you might be better off making the content in French.

Be consistent

This is the hardest part of your social media strategy, but think of building your network through social media as brushing your teeth. Because what happens if you don’t brush your teeth twice a day? Right, your teeth are going to rot. But suppose you haven’t brushed your teeth for a month and want to go back to healthy teeth, brushing your teeth once won’t help you, or twice. You need to get into the habit of brushing your teeth to use and maintain healthy teeth.

 

You won’t get 10k followers with an occasional photo upload, that is only possible if you stick to your post plan, and keep this up for at least 1 year. It will be difficult, but the benefits you will get out of it are all worth it.
